Soap & Glory - Heel Genius

I'm not normally one for applying creams or lotions to my feet, in fact you could say my feet do get a little bit neglected. After painting my toe nails a few weeks ago I thought I'd slap on a bit of this foot cream - and it's now become a bit of a regular occurrence. I normally apply this a couple of times a week before bed. It's suggested on the packaging to slip some socks on after you've massaged this cream in to your feet to allow it to soak in through the night. I really like this foot cream it has a fresh, clean scent to it which initially reminds me of a sort of cucumber scent. I find this cream to be very moisturising, it soaks in fairly quickly and leaves my feet feeling very soft and hydrated.

Liz Earle - Skin Repair Moisturisier

After trying out the mini Liz Earle skin care kit I decided I'd purchase the full sized moisturiser. This product stood out the most to me and was the one product I felt my skin really agreed with. I now apply this every morning and night. It leaves my skin feeling nice and hydrated but isn't too heavy. It's quite rich so I don't tend to use too much of it. I love the light scent of this cream - it's subtle and sweet. 

Philips Satin Soft Epilator 
I received this epilator for Christmas - I had specifically asked for one as I've been wanting to try epilating for a while now. A handful of work friends have been telling me about the benefits of epilating and I thought it was definitely worth trying. In a nutshell an epilator is a mehtod of hair removal. It's an electrical device which grasps hairs and pulls several out at the same time (basically like tweezing). It doesn't sound particularly pleasant to be honest. Although it's taken a few attempts I'm starting to get used to the sensation of epilating and I really do love the results. At the moment I've only epilated my legs but eventually I hope to do under my arms aswell. As the hairs are being pulled out they don't grow back as quickly as they would if you were shaving. In the future I'll think about doing a more in depth post about epilating for those of you that may want to know more. 

Benefit - They're Real! Mascara

I held off from trying this product for a while as at £18.50 this mascara is definitely not the cheapest, but I gave in and I have to admit I love it. This mascara gives my lashes a full, natural look. But Benefit's mascara seems to go one step further. It stays put all day and really opens up the eyes.  It can be quite difficult when removing your eye make up, although this depends on your method and the products you use. After a few months, like with many other mascaras, this product can tend to clump slightly. Although I've found this easy to work with and just comb may lashes through if there is the odd bit of clumping, unlike some other mascaras which are a complete nightmare and leave you with what looks like 5 giant lashes on each eye. I'll definitely be repurchasing this, it's very flattering and easily a favourite.

T.V
I've really been in to a few TV programmes over the last couple of months; My Mad Fat Diary, Nashville and more recently The Vampire Diaries have been top of my list. Bit of a variety as these programmes are quite different from one another, but I've been enjoying watching them all. 

The first series of My Mad Fat Diary has finished now, but is apparently set to return. 
Nashville is a new US series which has recently started, it's a few episodes in to the first series currently on More 4. Finally the Vampire Diaries, I've heard a lot about this series and although I haven't been following it at all I decided I'd give it a go. I'm about halfway through the first series at the moment- so far so good.

Elephants are one of my favourite things, I absolutely adore them.  This picture is amazing - it makes me smile.

This glitter gradient manicure looks gorgeous, definitely something I'd like to try out. The 'How To' is really straightforward.

Keeping with the 'nails theme'... I've just discovered the blog  'Nailed It',  which is full of amazing tutorials and all things nails related. Great for a nail polish junkie like me :)

I really love this 1950's inspired ponytail look/tutorial from The Beauty Department. I shall be trying this very soon, I think it looks really girly and great for both a day time or night time look. I love it!

I've just recently downloaded the Pinterest app for my phone. So I've been going on to Pinterest quite a bit over the last couple of days. Probably one of my favourite picture of the week from Pinterest is this one. It's such a simple but personal idea for a loved ones birthday!

It's nice reading a heart-warming, honest lifestyle post like this one by Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter (Crayola Weekends). 

As sad as it may be I think it's time to accept that Autumn is definitely here, it's getting colder! Now as much as I love cracking out the bright nail polishes and the summery dresses I equally love winter bits. I'm talking over sized cardigans, woolly scarves, gloves and all the rest of it. I got quite excited when I popped in to Accessorize last week and discovered that they have their 'Winter Shop'  stock out now. They have some lovely bits in their which make me a bit too excited for colder days to come.

This Weeks Favourite's

I've been a bit absent recently... busy busy busy! My dissertation deadline is looming so I've been spending all my time working on that. It's been a pretty stressful week to be honest and it's looking like next week will be just the same. But I do try to take some time out here and there (it's not good to overdo it). So here I am, taking my mind off of my work and thought I'd do a little weekly favourites post. 

• 'Grey's Anatomy' - One of my favourite TV series. I have five of the series on DVD and I have watched them all but fancied revisiting it. At the end of a stressful day I've made a point of watching a few episodes a night. I've started from the very first series and am working my way through (whilst getting my boyfriend hooked on it too). 

• River Island - During the week I had a little trip to the shops and ended up spending more than what I probably should have! I blame River Island and all the stress of my work :) They had some really cute little dress/tops and they were only £20. Perfect for Summer days or teamed with some skinny jeans or leggings for a night out.  I'm loving all the spring & summer bits. Roll on the Summer.

• Organics GinZing Eye Cream - I purchased this a few weeks ago (will probably post a review soon) and have been using this every morning. It's very refreshing and moisturising. Bit of a hefty price tag which is the only downfall. 

• Tiny Tower - A really annoyingly addictive app for the Iphone. I keep popping on to it throughout the day... I think I ought to delete. If you don't know about it, it's a tower that you can gradually build by opening different types of  stores, earn money and move little people in to. 

• Real Techniques Buffing Brush - Another recent purchase is the buffing brush which is becoming quite popular. I've heard lots about this and liked the look of it so I purchased the Core Collection and gave it a go. I use it for applying liquid foundation and it's replaced my other foundation brush. It gives a lovely flawless finish, the brush is soft and makes applying foundation so much easier. I love it. If anyone is interested these brushes can be purchased in Boots and online.

• 'Sophie's World' by Jostein Gaarder - I've had this book on my shelf for literally about 4 years. It was a birthday present which I began reading but for some reason put down and never went back to. After finishing 'One Day' I wanted something else to read. I'm only a chapter in so far but I can tell this book is going to be a thought provoking one. It's a story which raises philosophical questions about the meaning of life. It's quite different to the books that I have read in the past so I'm looking forward to it.

• A slightly random one now -  Häagen-Dazs ice cream. I spotted some little tubs of these in Tesco for £1 each. I grabbed a few flavours as I've never tried their ice creams before. I'm normally a Ben&Jerry's type of girl. For a £1 for a taster sized tub I thought it was a great chance to try them out. I picked up 'Praline and Cream', 'Strawberry Cheesecake' and 'Baileys'. I can't begin to explain how YUMMY the 'Praline and Cream' one was. It was so creamy and had swirls of toffee in it. I will definitely be buying their ice creams again. If you haven't tried it... you should!

A Slow Starter - Current Favourites

Since first creating this little space of mine I've noticed how I never seem to have any time to actually write on here. I'm always so busy (I'm in my final year at University - this doesn't help) I barely even have time to just chill out and have some time for myself to be honest. But that's life sometimes I suppose.

But anyway, here I am. A quick post just to list a few of my favourite things so far in this month of November. Random I know!

• Despite it being absolutely freezing, I must say there is nothing better than being tucked up in a warm bed listening to the rain and wind outside. Kind of relaxing I think.
• Shopping. Okay who doesn't. But... It's not all for me. I'm trying to be super organised and get some Christmas presents sorted nice and early. This is actually very rare for me. But I really have enjoyed walking around the shops seeing all the Christmas lights and decorations. And all the cute little gifts that are floating around at this time of year.
• Spending what time I do have with my family. So despite being quite busy I have had the chance to spend some time with my brother who I don't often see. Which of course was lovely. 
• Music... I think this one will always be a favourite of mine. So I do a fair bit of driving around and I often have my iPhone plugged in to my stereo so I'm usually always getting new music and playing around with my playlists. I've been listening to Katy Perry - The One That Got Away pretty much all  of the time. I've also just purchased Rihanna's - Talk That Talk album which will probably soon become a favourite of mine. I've had Farewell and We Found Love on repeat.
• That AMAZING feeling when you've completed a piece of work/assignment. Something that literally takes over for a few days or weeks. There is nothing better than that feeling when you've completed it and handed it in.
• Lush products, popped in here the other week to get some presents for friends, and I thought I'd treat myself to a Cinder's bath bomb and The Comforter. Lovely.
• Probably one of the greatest things ever - Cosy Pyjamas.
